Mexico Mural

There is so much here in Todos Santos visually, it’s almost overwhelming.  It’s incredibly inspiring.

If my translation is correct, it’s titled “For the Emancipation of the Rural Spirit”.  Anticipating what would be a very conservative culture (which it is to a large degree), it was nice to see some figures in their art.

Todos Santos Inn

After a few hours waiting at the San Jose Del Cabo airport for Keira and Candace to arrive, Mal & I finally hoped in the hire car and headed towards Todos Santos. We had been warned that we shouldn’t leave the airport after about 4pm as there is major road work on the highway and it would be far safer to get through that section in the daylight. Well it was 5.30pm by the time we headed off so it was well and truly dark when we hit the road work. Let’s just say it was one scary ride!

We arrived at the Todos Santos Inn around 8pm so we only had a small amount of time to check in before heading to Casa Dracula for the group meet up and as it was dark, it wasn’t until this morning when it was light that we could really check out the Inn and see how beautiful it was. I’m really looking forward to calling this place home for the next 8 days and shooting some amazing images around the grounds and buildings.

Todos Santos Arrival

I am quite pleased to announce that everyone made it safely to Todos Santos, Baja Sur California, Mexico!

The Baja 1000 was today so along the drive through patches of pavement mixed in with the road completely down to dirt, horses along the side of the road, we saw so many crazy dune buggies and off road vehicles. They take play time here seriously.

It’s beautiful and magical – just like you’d imagine a little Mexican town.

Tomorrow Candace and I go find some magic. Pictures soon! Enjoy this one from the plane. You can see from the Sea of Cortez all the way to the Pacific.
