On the beach at Playa los Palmas…..
Oh, and one non-lensbaby shot 🙂
Paco…….
the prequel
It was for me, a splendid gathering of artists for the FestX in the special artistic community of Todos Santos. Many thanks to Zoe for her significant efforts!
As well, thank you to the slide show judges, I am honored by your choice. I am very grateful to all the models and photographers who participated in the slide shows, I am the richer for viewing your art.
While researching the area where FestX would occur, I discovered Todos Santos based artist Jill Logan. Jill was at our meet and greet the first night of FestX and her gallery is next to the Hotel California where we all dined together the second night.
In the early morning hours on Thursday, there was a gathering of three artists at Jill’s gallery.
As she is a self confessed beach babe and considering she hadn’t had the chance to shoot outside of the hotels, I thought Samantha Grace would like the opportunity to scrabble over some rocks and get wet at the beach. I think it’s pretty obvious from the photos that she appreciated it 🙂
My second shoot at Casa Dracula was with Los Angeles model St Merrique. This space really offers a great variety of areas to shoot in so it’s easy to achieve some very different looks in the one location. St Merrique was absolutely amazing to work with and the way the sunlight bounces off her lovely skin is just breathtaking.
Those of you that know me are well aware that I am a quiet soul and I normally don’t talk a lot during shoots but I think I hardly said anything at all during this shoot but only because I really didn’t have to. St Merrique was so good at posing and interpreting what I wanted all I really had to do was point her in the general direction and let her go for it. It was such an effortless shoot and the results were outstanding. Even if I do say so myself 🙂
If you ever get a chance to work with St Merrique, I highly recommend you jump at the opportunity.

Brooke’s reputation as an art nude model had preceded her and I was very much looking forward to working with her. I had seen her portfolio and even heard first hand about her ability to work with the environment, especially with positioning her body in tight, tiny spaces. So with that in mind I thought the rocks at the beach would be a good place to test her out 🙂
Of course she passed with flying colours and I was left amazed at how she carefully manoeuvred her body in behind rocks and crevices and created beautiful poses in such awkward positions. To say I was impressed would be an understatement.
Golf clap for Brookie the little monkey 🙂 Hope to work with you again real soon!
