Brooke Lynne

What an absolute delight Brooke is to work with. From the start of our shoot she apologized for not feeling in top form…I was amazed the effort this girl put in while ill. Her attention to detail in every pose was a priority. I’m not sure if I will get to shoot Brooke here in Australia next, or if I will have to make another trek to America. I certainly will be campaigning for her to take a working holiday downunder.

Thank you Brooke, lets do this again.

Carlotta Champagne

It was a long 12 months waiting to shoot with the lovely Carlotta again. Why is Florida so far away from Sydney ? (well everywhere is a long way from Sydney….)

I do have a slight confession to make… I had scoped out the location the day before (there is another story there about getting the hire car bogged to the eye balls) and I did know that the corridor of the abandoned cannery we were shooting was a home to a cloud of bats. Seeing Carly flee the scene, arms flailing in the air screaming “there are bats in there!!”  high tailing it across the desert, in only flip flops… was…errrr… a little comical.  Apologies Carly… It was sooooo NOT funny.

More of the bats later with SaraLiz!

Meghan

Off for another sunrise shoot with the delightful Meghan. The gate to the beach was surprisingly padlocked that morning, so we took a quick detour over a hill, to get to the opposite end of the beach. The previous day I had scouted the track and was positive we could get right to the beach… unfortunately the little track we took was extremely overgrown. At one point we were tunneling through the undergrowth, crawling under the spines and bitey things. I had to remove my backpack on occasions as it simply wouldn’t budge due to the thorns!

Major points to Meghan…she was undeterred and we finally appeared the other side of the bush right on the beach. On our return to the car, we realised a track 50m in the other direction was clear…

Keira Grant

It was great to work with Keira again. On our last trip together we were able to capture some beautiful images from Tasmania, Australia… a stark difference to here in Mexico I can tell you.

Day 1

Day 1: Cam Attree and I  did nothing due to the wall of heat we experienced when getting here… dam its hot!

Day 2 we grabbed a couple of models and made them wake up way before dawn to travel to Cabo to a location we were told about. Cam was chief navigator, and I concentrated on driving the car on the correct side of the road. I still do not understand the rules for a 4 way stop… so I tend to just briefly pause before launching through the intersection… a ploy that has kept us alive so far.

We were a little bummed that the location didnt quite work out, and that there was a bloody great cruise liner in the center of the harbor blocking the view. Not to be detered we made the best of the location at hand…. Here is the lovely Anne Duffy.
