The week has been wonderful. Stellar group of people and just amazing friendships solidified and new being made. I love getting together with everyone every year.
But I really miss my cats.

While waiting for Mal Grant to finish his shoot with Tara at the Hotelito so we could get a lift back into town, Stephanie Anne and I decided to do an impromptu shoot using nothing but my iPhone and the Instagram App. This was the first time I had used nothing but my iPhone for an entire shoot. Occasionally I will take a few snaps on my iPhone during a shoot using my Nikon gear but never a whole shoot.
I found the experience quite refreshing and found I spent more time composing the image and shooting far less than I normally do. I guess it’s like restricting yourself to using a single prime lens for an entire shoot but of course using the iPhone and Instagram, you can edit and finalise the image in seconds.

I found these tamarindo candies there that are AWESOME, but forgot to bring some back. I don’t think customs cares, because they are not fruits, vegetables, etc.

It was great to work with Keira again. On our last trip together we were able to capture some beautiful images from Tasmania, Australia… a stark difference to here in Mexico I can tell you.
